COMMISSIONS

Whether you have a clear vision or simply a feeling you'd like to capture, I work closely with you to create a one-of-a-kind piece that feels deeply connected to its surroundings.

Commissioning a painting is a collaborative process, guided by your space, aesthetic, and the atmosphere you wish to create.

Living room with a dark curved sofa, a patterned throw pillow, a tall black floor lamp with an arched stand, and an abstract painting with shades of green, white, and black on the wall.

— Consultation & Space

Every commission begins with a conversation.

Share details about your space, preferred dimensions, and any inspiration you may have. If you're unsure of the ideal size, I'm happy to provide recommendations based on your room, furniture placement, and architectural features. We can also discuss framing options to ensure the finished work feels considered and complete.

— Inspiration & Direction

To help shape the commission, you're welcome to share examples of my previous works that resonate with you, along with images of your interior, colour palette, textiles, finishes, or materials.

These references provide a starting point, allowing me to create a painting that feels harmonious with your space while remaining entirely original.

— Proposal & Deposit

Once the scope of the commission has been confirmed, I will provide a formal quotation outlining the artwork dimensions, framing selections, investment, and estimated lead time.

A 40% deposit is required to secure your commission and commence work.

— Creation & Refinement

As the painting develops, I will share progress imagery or arrange a studio viewing where appropriate. This allows us to confirm the overall direction and discuss any final refinements before completion.

Throughout the process, I remain focused on creating a work that feels balanced, resolved, and true to both the space and my practice.

— Completion & Delivery

Once complete, the artwork is professionally stretched, framed, photographed, and prepared for its new home.

The remaining balance is due prior to collection, delivery, or shipping.

— A Note on Originality

My practice is intuitive and layered, guided by colour, movement, and materiality. While previous works may inform the direction of a commission, each painting is created as an original piece and will never be replicated exactly.

This is the beauty of commissioning a work made specifically for you.

— Lead Time

Please allow approximately 8–10 weeks from receipt of deposit for completion.
